Training tailored for organisations

Building workshops to best meet the needs of your staff.

Our trainers can come to you, wherever in Australia you are located, to deliver a customised professional development program. We will support you in planning and organising a customised training program, including providing an information package for your use.

Content areas for these sessions might include:

  • The neurobiology of abuse-related trauma, and its practical application in your work context
  • The infant experience of trauma
  • Building creative and therapeutic strategies for abused and traumatised children and young people
  • Residential care and foster care models of intervention situated in therapeutic trauma-based frameworks
  • Developing and implementing trauma assessment frameworks
  • Understanding the specific impact of family violence on children and young people and their family context
  • Exploring the impact of working with traumatised children and their families on workers and the systems within which they practise
  • Specific content that meets the broader needs of your staffing group. Organisations may require a layered professional development package to support growth and development in program practice and policy. This may be two days or two years, depending on your requirements.

All customised sessions are experiential, discussion-based and enable your staff to explore the specific issues of their workplace and roles.

Organisations generally provide a venue and catering and minimal audio visual equipment.

The cost of each package is quoted specifically according to the length and location of the training. For more information about how we can meet your organisation’s customised training requirements and to organise a quote, please contact us on 1800 176 453 or via email at training@childhood.org.au.
