Learning with the Australian Childhood Foundation improves your knowledge, skills and confidence. Much of our training is now delivered online through webinars, virtual classrooms and self-paced anytime programs. We are a Registered Training Organisation so some our courses lead directly to a vocational qualification.
We can also tailor training and capacity building programs for your organisation or workforce using any combination of approaches that fit the best for you and your budget.

SAFEGUARDING CHILDREN COURSE
Our Safeguarding Children Course is a self-paced any time learning program designed for all staff and volunteers in organisations that provide an activity or program to children and young people. So far, more than 180 000 people have accessed this Course across Australia and New Zealand. In two hours, the training covers a range of topics including identifying and responding to incidents of child abuse and exploitation, understanding relevant legislation in place in a local jurisdiction and the importance of the code of conduct.
It is interactive and full of additional reading and resources which keeps the attention of the learners throughout it. Personnel can complete it in their own time and at their own pace. Learners can leave the training and pick it up again at the same place when they are ready. It is competency based involving a set of knowledge checks and quizzes. At the end, the successful learner is provided with a Certificate of Completion.
This Course is only available to organisations who subscribe to it for their staff and volunteers. It is suitable for individuals at all levels of the organisation ranging from Board Directors to operational personnel. The self-administration kiosk allows an organizational administrator to easily enroll participants, monitor completion rates and produce reports required for audit and compliance purposes.
