Practice Support and Learning Group: Intensive Therapeutic Care House Managers / Supervisors

Practice Support and Learning Group: Intensive Therapeutic Care House Managers / Supervisors

Introduction

The Practice Support and Learning Group is for House Managers/Supervisors working in Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC) in New South Wales. The aim of the group is to provide a space for House Managers/Supervisors to identify and discuss issues faced in the work and to collectively share wisdom, brainstorm, reflect on--and where possible--resolve challenges. The group will be facilitated using a meeting protocol, which will allow House Managers/Supervisors to identify and discuss pressing issues and themes. The group has two core purposes:

  • To identify, promote and support best practice in the delivery, supervision and management of ITC by sharing thoughts, approaches, proven practice, innovative ideas and problem solving relevant to the unique positions of supervision and management in ITC across agencies.
  • To identify the major issues faced by the implementation of ITC in NSW and use collective, informed industry wisdom to develop strategies to resolve them where possible or at least raise and articulate the issues in a collaborative manner.
