Honouring Child Wise’s legacy in Safeguarding
After decades of dedicated service in safeguarding children and young people internationally, Child Wise has moved under the umbrella of Australian Childhood Foundation. As a result, Child Wise no longer operates as a separate organisation. However, we’ve integrated their invaluable expertise into our Safeguarding Children Services, ensuring that the impact they made continues.
We are deeply grateful to all who have supported Child Wise in their purpose. Together, we’ve helped safeguard countless children, and we look forward to continuing this vital work within our Safeguarding Children Service.
About Child Wise
For over 30 years, Child Wise was a leading voice for children’s rights across the Asia-Pacific region. As a founding member of the global End Child Prostitution and Trafficking network, Child Wise played a pivotal role in building child-safe communities both in Australia and internationally.
They worked across government, corporate, and non-government sectors to foster environments where children could be protected from harm. In 2023, Child Wise moved under the umbrella of the Foundation, combining strengths to further enhance child safety efforts through training, consultancy, and accreditation services in institutional and online settings.
As one organisation in 2024, we continue striving to ensure all children are safe from the trauma of abuse, neglect, and violence.
