Bringing Up Great Kids and Early Years

Bringing Up Great Kids (BUGK) and Early Years is an area of Australian Childhood Foundation that primarily focuses on supporting parents, carers, professionals and educators to understand the needs of children and apply effective solutions to meet them.

Both BUGK and Early Years offer training that is constantly evolving to ensure that different experiences and needs are being reflected in our course offerings.

Bringing Up Great Kids (BUGK)

Bringing Up Great Kids (BUGK) is an integrated suite of activities and tools that are unique and offer all parents and carers a fresh way to understand and enact relationships with their children. It focuses on building positive and nurturing relationships between parents and their children, while also aiming to support parents to review and enhance their patterns of communication with their children to promote more respectful interactions and encourage the development of children’s positive self-identity.

We are currently undertaking a national evaluation of BUGK. To learn more and participate, click here.

Whether you are working as an early childhood educator in an early years space or as a clinician/counsellor with young children or working with the families of young children these training sessions will both affirm your work now and provide some new thinking and reflective opportunities for your work in the future.
