Bringing Up Great Kids - The Early Years

The Bringing Up Great Kids in the Early Years Program is an adaptation of the Bringing Up Great Kids Parenting Program designed specifically for new parents or vulnerable families with children aged 0-6 years.

This version was developed with the support of the Tasmanian Early Years Foundation, as well as the contribution of many early childhood, family support and welfare professionals across Tasmania who attended our training on using the 'Bringing Up Great Kids in the Early Years' Parenting Program.

The BUGK Early Years kit is an easy to use facilitator’s package and is now available for use by a range of professionals working with families and supporting parents. The Program materials include:

• a facilitator’s manual

• a parenting journal

• session outlines

• interactive reflection activities

• participant sheets

• evaluation protocol

This program was available for free. However, due to changes in funding this program is no longer available at no cost. In order to access the program material and be able to run Bringing Up Great Kids Program for the Early Years, please email us on parenting@childhood.org.au and we will help you.

The Bringing Up Great Kids is an identified Evidence Based Program for Communities for Children Facilitating Partners. It has been evaluated and found to be an effective program in supporting the development of mindful and positive relationships between parents/carers and children.
